REGISTRATION OF BIRTHS, DEATHS AND MARRIAGES
The primary function of the Registration Office is to register births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships.
Lagn Valley Island,the perfect venues. Italso performs civil marriages, issues certified copies of certificates and provides general information to the public.
The administration of the public cemeteries is also provided by this section. This involves organisation of internment and dealing with erection of memorials.

Also open some Bank Holidays for approximately one hour for registration of death(funeral directors always notified of exact days)

Registering Births and Deaths
Any births or deaths registered in the Northern Ireland from 1997 onwards are now available in this office.
Prior to 1997 records of any births or deaths registered in this office are now held centrally in the General Register Office, Oxford House, 49-55 Chichester Street, Belfast, BT1 4HL.
Marriages
Protestant Lisburn Marriages from 1845
Roman Catholic Lisburn Marriages from 1864
If you are sending for a certified copy of a particular marriage – it is essential to give the exact date and place of the event and include a cheque or postal order in UK Sterling made payable to Lisburn City Council.
