Woman on bicycle c1910 The role of women has changed dramatically since the 1800s. We compare the experiences of women today with that of our great grandmothers. In particular looking at social attitudes focusing on marriage, childrearing, the home, women in business and education. The day begins with a slide presentation, then a discussion around the impact of social changes on women and finally we look at the houses in the Museum to experience life as our ancestors knew it.
