The Ulster American Folk Park is currently the Northern Ireland co-ordinator for the Comenius 3 network entitled "Learning Migration". The network is managed by Stavanger University College, Norway and also has partners in Portugal, Spain, Germany, Sweden , Romania, Bullgaria and Czech Republic. In addition to schools, other partners including archival institutions, teacher training colleges and educational authorities.

The main aim of the network is to encourage and disseminate innovative work in the fields of citizenship, community relations and intercultural contact. The work can be Northern Ireland based or (preferably) carried out across transnational links. Links between European schools are not essential but are encouraged.

The Education Department at the Folk Park are also members of the Comenius 2:1 Project 'MiLES' ( Migration Learning in European Schools). The Project is led by Carl Von OssietZky University in Oldenburg, Germany with members in Northern Ireland, Romania, Turkey and Germany.

The 'MiLES-Migration Learning in European Schools' project aims to develop a COMENIUS professional development course for teachers throughout Europe which focuses on migration learning in class and to implement and circulate this concept.
